When I came in on Tuesday, the floors were more dry in the hallway and two back bedrooms, so I was able to start painting the floor with Kilz to block the odor and stains. It also became obvious that the animals had ruined the floor in the kitchen, bathroom and laundry as well, because the tile is sliding around and popping up from being wet so many times. This will be a project for another day…well after the floor has been scrubbed and doused with ammonia.
The kitchen still needs scrubbed and should be gotten to tomorrow and so does the bathroom. You can see the fire damage above the cabinets in the photo and how cute the bathroom is even before it’s been scrubbed clean.
