While everything seemed to be delaying the start of the day…swollen ankles, blisters on hands, uhaul, breakfast…eventually we got started. With the help of family, friends, and honestly the best moving partner…99% of my home was moved before five pm. I missed a family event, which weighed heavy on my heart, however, we were moved. The kids were setting up their rooms and I was able to sneakily get my bed made.
It’s now Tuesday…we’ve been here for three nights, all sleeping well…the cat has come home and we are settling in slowly. Next week, I plan on starting the painting and maybe looking at flooring. The laundry room floor needs pulled up and possibly part of the wall where a washing machine leaked. Some exterior projects will need to get started and focusing on selling the other property will take priority.
