We can’t say enough how proud we are of this project. We had one full month, little to no budget and whipped this cute this ranch into an updated space. While the backyard is lacking in cute landscaping or a deck, there’s plenty of opportunity to make it into what you want with the best shade imaginable.
The basement has two non conforming bedrooms, a 3/4 bath, a laundry room with electric plus gas/ water hookups right outside the laundry so you could make the laundry space into a small flex space and set up a different laundry area, or even put in a small kitchen for family holidays or an in house apartment set up. There’s a huge living space in the basement as well. One wall has vinyl lettering I never took down because I laughed so hard. “Her vibe is p etty.”
The house is still for sale, the market is slowing down now and there are lots of options for similar homes with fanicier back yards. That’s a downfall for us but I honestly think is a plus for someone who wants a home move in ready with some time to do something fun with the back yard.
